Market Update - August 12, 2013 - What's the next Market Move?

At the moment financial markets are a bit directionless. After a couple weeks of strong gains, the past couple have been mostly sideways. In financial geek-speak we call this consolidation. Basically, it means the market is setting up for it's next move. That move could be up, or it could be down. Pretty indecisive, right?

The good news is that once that new trend develops it usually lasts awhile. In the case of the last consolidation - it created a strong rally that lasted more than 6 months.

In todays market update video I show where both the stock and bond markets are consolidating to and where the most likely intermediate term (next few weeks/months) moves are likely to be. As soon as that new trend develops I'll be sure to let clients and blog readers know.
